Transition into Year 7
Welcome to Gillingham School from the Year 7 Pastoral Team. Before your child starts with us, we work closely with their primary school and year 6 teacher to decide on the most appropriate Tutor and Teaching group that they will join from the September. All Year 6 students will have an induction day in July. In addition to this, where there is a need, students will engage in our transition programme. This programme aims to support students who are more anxious and might find the transition to secondary school more challenging.
