Gillingham Sixth Form – Admissions Policy

Apply to Gillingham Sixth Form

Upon receipt of your application:

  • A reference will be requested from your current school
  • You will be contacted with an invitation to attend an online interview with a member of the Sixth Form Leadership Team
  • A formal offer of a place in our Sixth Form will be made once your application has been assessed and upon receipt of your reference.

If you have applied and were unable to attend the Open Evening, we can arrange for you to visit and have a tour of the school.  Please email jstirk@gillingham-dorset.co.uk to arrange this.

Current Gillingham School Applicant

All of Year 11 will be making their choices and applying to the Sixth Form using our new application system and will be sent login details and instructions immediately after our Open Evening.  They will then attend a session with the Sixth Form team  who will clearly explain the application process. We encourage students to take time to make their subject choices with the support of parents and guardians who will be provided with login details enabling them to access the application form.

  • The deadline for applications from current Gillingham school students is 20th December 2024
  • Year 11 interviews will take place at the end of January 2025
  • An email confirming a provisional place in Sixth Form will be sent during the second half of the Spring Term.
