Geography will help students learn about the world we live in. They will enjoy learning about people and their societies, economies, cultures and the environment, as well as developing a wide range of skills. Looking ahead, Geography also provides above average graduate employability.

There has never been a better or more important time to study Geography. With growing interest in issues such as climate change, migration, environmental damage and social structure, Geography is one of the most relevant courses you could choose to study. Whatever your passion for the world – Geography will provide students with knowledge, understanding and transferable skills that will reward them personally and academically!

Years 10 & 11

The Geography GCSE course brings exciting new ideas and approaches to studying Geography. Topics focus on those issues that are currently of a local, national, and global importance including the courses and impacts of processes such as rapid, urban growth globally and locally, coastal retreat and climate change.

All students will also take part in two days of fieldwork during the course, an urban fieldwork day in Bristol and a coastal fieldwork day in Lyme Regis.
